New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against 13 accused including Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Excise Policy scam, the sources confirmed. Manish Sisodia reacted to the notice and tweeted that he was roaming freely in Delhi and asked the CBI to tell him where to come. Sisodia also added that the country is looking for a leader who can give solutions to inflation, unemployment. He said that the public will give a 'look out notice' to them in 2024. A look out circular prevents an individual from leaving the country and the person can be detained if they are found violating the said condition. During the raid of CBI in Delhi at 31 locations including seven states, two accused were not found during the raid, so the agency opened LoC with immediate effect against the 13 accused. NIA conducts raids across Kashmir related to a militancy case.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched a number of places in Kashmir on Tuesday as part of an investigation into a case involving terrorist activity, according to officials. The searches were conducted in Srinagar and the south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Pulwama, and Kulgam. “Searches were carried out in a case registered by NIA in Jammu last year,” they claimed. The case relates to a criminal conspiracy for carrying out terrorist and subversive actions that was hatched by the cadres, OGWs, and affiliates of numerous organisations that are outlawed, as well as their offshoots that operate under various aliases at the direction of their Pakistani masters.

SHILLONG, Jan 25: Duitara maker and musician Risingbor Kurkalang was awarded Padma Shri award in the field of Art (Folk Music) category. The award was announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs on the eve of Republic Day on Wednesday. Kurkalang who hails from Laitkyrhong village is a gifted craftsmen who has made a name for himself by making the best string instruments using the wood of the Jackfruit tree, U Dieng Slang, Puma and others. His instruments are being sold to various parts of the country including Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and others besides Shillong and several villages across Khasi Hills. The instruments are also on display at the Meghalaya Age stalls in New Delhi. He has also collaborated with the Welsh musician, Gareth Bonello of The Gentle Good fame for the album Sai-Thaiñ Ki Sur (the weaving of voices).
